Tai Chi workshop This one is a ‘beginners special’!!
Sunday June 30th 12.30-2.30 £25 (bring cash if you can)
Beginners will work with instructors in small groups, and we will explain how you can recognise and control hidden changes to your Chi, while practising the physical movements of the form.
You definitely don’t need to know all the moves to attend, so if you are a beginner, this will be the perfect workshop for you! In fact, we would really like the beginners to come, reason being, there can be a tendency to think the workshops are ‘just for experienced students’, which is the opposite of what they are.
Attending the workshops is an incredible opportunity, they are fun, informative, and much cheaper than people often charge for similar workshops and seminars!
We will dissect movements within the entire Yang style Tai Chi form and show you how to control your Chi from the centre of your body, so you can express it more effectively on the outside.
We are asking you to tell us if there are any specific movements you would like us to cover, so just tell Mark or Andy and we’ll put the questions in the mix.
Andy will make time on the day to answer any specific questions you have about Tai Chi or Qi Gong, whether they are simple or complicated, so please come armed with a note to remind yourself what to ask.
The answers to your questions will involve a combination of practical applications, push hands, and interrogative movements.
The workshop costs just £25 (bring cash if you have it)
There will be an extra hour 2.30-3.30 for £10 extra for practising Yang sabre and other advanced forms
Join Seven Stars online video update
Since launching our online video service over a year ago, we have filmed over 250 new videos, bringing our archive up to over 350 separate videos, with scores more in the queue.
You can learn Tai Chi by using short step by step videos, all of them offering a choice of a standard or ‘mirrored’ version, that you can slow down and rewind to your hearts content.
There are videos to learn advanced forms, like Tai Chi stick and Wild Goose Qi Gong, and even the very advanced Narrow Bladed Sword.
All the advanced weapons and fighting forms will be added over the next year, and we will regularly add more Yoga and Qi Gong sets as well.
We also have follow-along Yoga and Qi Gong videos, some of them nearly an hour long; perfect for when you can’t make it to class, or just to do a little extra!

Our videos are being prepared for marketing by an online company in the USA soon, they are planning on charging a lot more than we currently charge on Patreon, but we will keep the monthly price the same for our students and current subscribers.
School expansion
If you didn’t know, I’m moving out of Portsmouth in a few weeks to expand the school into Hastings in East Sussex.
The classes here won’t change, Mark is now a partner in the business, and he will be in charge of all the Portsmouth classes.
I’ve loved my last 18 years in Pompey, and made hundreds of good friends, worked with thousands of students, and have greatly enjoyed training some of them up to instructor level.
I’d love to see as many of you come along to my classes in the last weeks I have here, I’ll also be coming back regularly to teach workshops, so keep the good work up, and pass it along to others.
